Day 1 has rolled around, and the verdict is in: We don't like mornings.
Little Toad here, showing her great disgust at being cleaned after pooping everywhere, walking in it and sitting in her bowl full of kitten mush. She screams and claws and then eventually starts to purr and will more or less settle in to chow down. Kinda. Neither kittens are really very keen on focusing on food at the moment, and are much more interested in chomping on the bottle...or trying to suckle my pant leg...or escape... (the list goes on and on and on...) We introduced some mushy, formula-kitten food in a little bowl, along with some water in another shallow dish - and as would be expected, I guess, the formula is to be sat in while drinking from the water dish. *sigh* although, nothing will make you giggle more than a 3 week old kitten trying to drink from a dish - it is the best sound ever.
The night was more or less uneventful - besides the realization that the wee ones now have control over their bodily functions and their poop is not as liquidy as it initially was. I know. Thats gross. But believe you me, its an important turn of events :)
